This is some great music for a morose, rainy day. Lush, sedate, bluesy, and with a certain apocalyptic flair, most evident on White Horses, which sounds very much like a psychedelic blues dirge. I appreciate that the songs sometimes lose themselves along the way, giving way to some beautiful psych explorations. I also enjoy the vocals on this - they sometimes waver, but they fit the music so well.

Released a year after their EP (1886) it follows the same path as the EP. Excellent Seventies psychedelic rock, smooth vocals backed up by strong words and music. The band is still togeather under a new name Monte Vista Drive.

It’s sounding like Red Spektor are starting to come out of the 60ies and are now moving into the early 70ies. You know, they’re beginning to sound more like ‘Ten Years After’ than ‘Jimmi’. I think Bill has hit the nail on the head with his now-days band comparisons. All except Lost Soul which has a real old school ‘Zeppelin’ feel to it. Love the use of “Stereophonic” left/right speaker switching in Timeless Requiem; just adds to that era’s feel. Let’s use all the tech!
